One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was orginally a novel written by Ken Keasly in 1962, this is the same man who travelled all around performing acid tests. It was later in 1975 when Milos Forman directed a film based on the novel written by Ken Keasly. It took a approach to the movie by changing the protangonist from a self proclaimed mute and def cheif who gets by day to day hiding in a broom closet and/or mopping floor through out the building all while periodically hallucinating about hunting with his dad when he was young, to a man by the name of Randle Patrick McMurphy(played by Jack Nicholson), who was sent to the insane asylum basically cause the jail didnt want him there. He was sentenced for sagitory rape. My focus was mainly on this skiddish man-child with an intence studder who is volentaraly in the insane asylum. Billy Bibit, played by Brad Dourif, grabbed my attention because he was the youngest one there and he didnt have to be there. He spent little to no time in the outside world and could leave the mental institution at anytime he chooses but he stays. He's only had one previouse love affair that ended in rejection, but durring spontanieous fishing trip Mack brought a lady friend that caugh Billy's eye. He flirted with her from day one and enevidably got with her but there was no happy ending the morning after. The Cheif, played by Will Sampson, fooled the entire institution into thinking he was deff and dumb to make his day to day exsperience a bit easyer. Him and Mack for a bond when he is instructed to apprentice Mack in variouse shananogins. Cheif helps make climb the fence that led to the impulse driven fishing trip, as well as defending Mack in a round of fisty cuffs against the nurses and guards. The Cheif revealed his secret to Mack over a strip of juicy fruit after the brawl, His first words spoken in the film were "I love juicy fruit". This film was well put together with a great cast call consisting of some big names such as Danny Devito and Christopher Lloyd, who performed convinsing roles.
